Tekron launches the TCG 08 Dual GPS Clock

PRLog (Press Release) – Jul 07, 2009 – Tekron International, a leading developer of precision timing products, today launched the TCG 08, a dual GPS clock that contains two independent GPS clocks within a 19”, 1U rack mount case.
Each clock in the TCG 08 is based on Tekron’s industry leading clock, the TCG 01. The clocks have multiple isolated outputs and independent power supplies, displays and antennas. The TCG 08 provides a fully redundant system to ensure continuous operation 24/7.
At the heart of the TCG 08 is BISA (Best IRIG Source Algorithm). In the event that either clock loses power or satellite reception, BISA enables the clock to automatically synchronize to either the alternate clock or to an outside sync source to maintain time accuracy.
Brian Smellie, Tekron’s Technical Director, commented: “Should there be a serious incident that affects your electricity supply, you need to be confident that your clock continues to provide accurate time-stamps for your IEDs. The TCG 08 will give you this confidence.”
The TCG 08 supports IEC 61850 and is compliant with IEC 61000 4.4 and 4.5 standards.
